The problem
Two audiences with opposite needs arrive at one site: a person choosing cover for their family, and an insurer evaluating actuarial tooling and an API. Five product lines and a set of calculators sit between them, and a flat menu makes both feel like they are in the wrong place.
What’s on it
- Five product lines: health, life, car, bike, investment
- Calculator hub — premium, term selection, dynamic pricing, claims process
- Separate partner track: actuarial tech and API documentation
- Named insurer panel: Care Health, Niva Bupa, HDFC ERGO, Star Health, TATA AIG, Reliance
- Three-step path — select product, compare quotes, instant policy
The calls
01
Separated the buyer's path from the insurer's path in the navigation itself.
A consumer wants a premium; a partner wants documentation. Grouping the menu into insurance, investment, utilities and partners lets each of them ignore three quarters of the site without effort.
02
Led with the premium calculator instead of the plans.
Nobody chooses insurance from a brochure. They arrive wanting a number, and the number is the thing that earns the right to ask for anything else.
03
Named the underwriters on the page.
A platform nobody has heard of borrows its credibility from insurers everybody has. Six named partners answer the only question that matters — who actually pays the claim.
“An unknown platform borrows its credibility from the names that pay the claim.”
